Dining Room
Before I became a kitchen designer, I brought in an interior decorator to buy some fabric. I lamented not using my dining room. She asked me- "if you make it more casual and a place you love- why don't you use it?" It struck a chord- and I peeled off the wallpaper, got a new chandelier, and some sturdy Pottery Barn chairs that we couldn't hurt. We inherited the incredible table and when we started eating there for all our meals- the whole family loved it. It had the best light and views- and got used every day. Now eventhough we moved into a home with an eat in kitchen- we have continued the tradition of eating dinners in the dining room. Give it a try!
