Discovering that an elephant ear leaf is a great umbrella! Free to pick and play
We really wanted to encourage the children to play with the plants. This youngster discovers that the huge elephant ear leaves make a great umbrella for a sudden summer shower. Other plants such as stalks from canna make great (soft & safe) "weapons" for sword fights. The kids are also encouraged to pick the flowers, smell them, dissect them, and of course, bring bouquets inside for Mom.
