Domed Orangery, Merseyside

This project was part of a larger design - the brief was to create an extra room from which the homeowners could enjoy their external surroundings. The orangery design consisted of three elements: a vestibule entrance, a primary space which extended through the kitchen, plus a dining area off to one side. On the exterior of the orangery the entablature and pilasters had been painted a darker colour to the joinery a nod in the direction of the traditional material elements of stone and timber. In the vestibule area the curved glass roof dome had a fully circular interior kerb and trim detail which sets the tone for the level of detailing throughout the orangery. Overall. we have a lovely design and sumptuous living space which the owners can enjoy. This orangery also won "Room of the Year" award at the Northern Design Awards.
