Finding the bright spot was pretty simple. This house has an L shaped configuration overlooking the water... all glass windows and doors give the place amazing light and warmth but the original layout had to go. We added beams to the ceiling to eliminate 3 ceiling levels all coming together and created a new door to the garage and a new door to the master "wing" by stealing what used to be the cave like dining room. Dining went to the end of the long kitchen where the water view could be enjoyed.
