The entry was an awkward space, angling into the 'formal' living area. To open up the space, I used two fun patterned chairs with a small footprint. The art work (original Met print of 'Sunflowers' by Claude Monet was hung at gallery height and adds purpose to the 'foyer wall'. Modern crystal lighting coupled with antique silk shades on the table lamp keep things interesting! The varying heights draw the eye around the room. Lamp source: Room Service Vintage, Austin. The mirrors on the side wall were the first decor item we picked up for the house. After mulling over many different combinations of art and mirrors, we settled on this simply, yet striking arrangement, with a reproduction of Vincent Van Gogh's 'Starry Night', an acrylic painting by yours truly, as the centerpiece.
