Kitchen/Diner Snug Casual Seating Area
This unused area in a large kitchen diner was converted to a snug seating casual area where the family can read or can chat with those cooking dinner.
The space was kept soft and light and was accented with modern artwork. A corner window was created and dressed with a curved-rail curtain finish in both translucent and opaque fabrics.
Key to the space was the interplay between the artwork and the light furnishings and dark accents. The high shelf with a subtle ornate carved wooden ornament creates a subtle drama and the skirting and architraves were enlarged and accented with more detailed fittings.
