Lakeside Drive, Wagga Wagga
The clients brief for this project was that the planning be based on passive design principles, with an emphasis on ensuring uninterrupted views of Lake Albert. The extension needed to be an inspiring place, with a classic architectural accent. Uncomplicated horizontal and vertical lines, with suspended elements key to creating this fluid, white and glass facade.
The essential idea supporting the floor plan is the introduction of a central element, namely the suspended stair within the double height foyer that connect the existing house to the new two storey guest and office quarters.
