Library Addition in South Carolina
This is a library addition to a house in South Carolina. I worked closely with the owner, a great gardener, to coordinate the new windows and French doors to the garden vistas. The television is hidden behind the paneling with the painting, which swings open. The paneling was faux finished to appear to be antique English pine, a serene background to the books, which provide the color and pattern. It's a gracious room in which the owner reads and relaxes and often takes afternoon tea, but works beautifully for larger cocktail gatherings, especially when the garden can be used as part of the space.
