Mixed Material Countertops
In this kitchen we’ve used several materials for the countertops. The island features leathered granite in ‘Mari Blue’ while the perimeter cabinetry boasts polished, modern Quartz called ‘Viatera Cirrus’. Not only are designers combining quartz and granite, wood as a countertop material is one of the hottest trends. This breakfast bar custom built out of chestnut, adds interest, drama and texture to the kitchen. We added sparkle by tiling the base of the wood countertop with bronze metallic penny round tile which is also seen behind the decorative panel at the range. Photos by Chrissy Racho.
