Modern American Classic on Nantucket
Leading to the bedroom wing, the foyer is furnished with a Roman console, with a Pietra marble top and hand-wrought iron base from Formations. The ancient marine-encrusted, glazed stoneware storage jar that dates from the 15th to 17th centuries, is an antiquity that was found in the South China Sea off the coast of Java. The two chairs match the dining chairs, and are brought in for additional seating when needed.
