Modern Extension to Barn Conversion on Historic Site
Lathams designed and built a contemporary extension to a barn conversion on a highly sensitive site in Derbyshire. With gardens encompassing the archaeological remains of Bretby Castle, a fortified manor house dating from the 13th century, the project involved the creation of a new (inhabited) pergola structure, to provide a characterful dining space for 16, as well as a library/study and informal gathering space.
