Modern fitted wardrobes for a dressing room
This modern suite of fitted wardrobes was created for our clients’ home in Sutton, Surrey. They had decided to transform a spare room into a dedicated luxury dressing room to accommodate their large clothing collection. Commissioning the bespoke wardrobes from Acorn gave them the perfect opportunity to have the cabinetry styled and configured exactly as they wanted.
Contemporary style, tailored storage
The matching made-to-measure wardrobes enhance the shape of the room and give the long narrow layout a catwalk appeal. Every inch of cabinetry space has been optimised with an assortment of storage options and the wardrobe doors and drawers help to keep the clothes organised and dust free.
Dark, sophisticated stained oak
The cabinets are made from solid oak and immaculately finished in a black satin spray. This showcases the beautiful natural grain of the wood and has a high-end, sophisticated look. The dark colour also creates a striking contrast with the walls and wardrobe interiors, which have been finished in Egger Natural Lancaster Oak for exceptional durability.
Reeded glass fronted wardrobe doors
An expanse of dark cabinetry could potentially be overbearing; but here the glazed doors keep the room feeling light and spacious. The shaker style doors have a central reeded glass panel, which breaks up the darker colour of the surround. The reeded glass fronted doors are a practical decision too, as the ribbed translucent glass allows you to discern what is in the cupboard.
Customised accessory drawers
We also integrated a pair of smooth-sliding matching drawers in each set of wardrobes. Each drawer has a soft leather inlay to protect and display precious accessories such as watches, belts, and jewellery. Integrated pull down hanging rails maximise the vertical space in each wardrobe and allow for spacious drawers to be incorporated. Integrated LED strip lighting delivers a warm illumination to the wardrobe interiors and provides an extra source of illumination for the dressing room.
