This home office in Modesto, Ca was a makeover for the client who wanted to get rid of separate desk furniture and integrate the room into dual work areas: one for sewing crafts and one for home office business/computer work. The desk has a built-in keyboard for correct ergonomic work and since its built-in reference documents remain close at hand (not pushed away as on pull out keyboards). The peninsula provides a side return for work at either station. The storage is configured to have many different size drawers for a wide variety of supplies and plastic container box inserts. Wire management channels run around the rear of the desk below to keep wiring under control and off the floor (see the space plan drawing).
