"Opus #27"
"Opus #27" is a 7'0" x 9' 0" triptych (3-panel) mural whose design inspiration was derived from the footprint of our clients home. The location of the window, at the confluence of the master-suite, master-bath and staircase is created from all hand-blown European sheet glass. If you've seen glass being blown before, as it comes off the blowpipe, the molten glass is shaped into a large tubular vessel. While this glass vessel remains hot, it is cut lengthwise, and hand rolled into sheets of glass whose characteristics are individualized from sheet to sheet.
