Our house on Cherokee
Blend of old and new. Kitchen has large center island with a raised section of glass-fronted cabinets for everyday stemware and cookbooks. Industrial fans counterpointed with embellished ceiling medallions. Stainless steel subway tile backsplash. We chose black tempered glass appliances in lieu of stainless steel and I've been so happy I did...super easy to clean and no dents! We chose marble for the countertops - volakas for the island and st. laurent for the perimeter, and have loved them. Much easier to care for than most people say.
