Painted Furniture Finishes & Faux Wood
Painted Furniture Finishes, From Old Oak to Verve
Kitchen
This was a fun project. This client contacted us after seeing us on an HGTV home design show. The had newly gutted their home and just finished installing exquisite reclaimed terracotta pavers from Spain throughout. They asked me, "What should we do with the walls?" We started with the kitchen, being the core of the home and allowed the color palette to flow from here.
Rather than dismantling perfectly good kitchen cabinetry, we coated the old ugly oak with vibrant tones to play off the floor tones. Sanded them back to age and distress and added tobacco-tones to give them a few hundred years while maintaining a fun, vibrant feel next to the very vibrant flooring. A cost effective and eco-friendly way to go. Our client was very happy! On the technical side, our client modernized by adding high-end hinges and European drawer glides. Hand tooled door handles to finish and Voila!
