Private Commission : Brisbane
A beautiful , contemporary home, on a very busy Brisbane road. Clients required privacy screens however they did not want the look of heavy fencing. A truly unique pattern was created through the collaboration of ideas between the client, the architect, Ben Thomas of Ben Thomas Architects and ourselves, Urban Metal. The pattern is based on a passage of text from the clients favorite childhood book, in a font created by Ben Thomas. Many factors needed to be taken into consideration - light, privacy, form, function and colour. Weeks of careful planning gave a spectacular result ! By changing the font size we were able to allow for plants to grow through the panels, in essence, creating their own 'Green Wall'.
