Project | Geelong West

One of our recent projects, a previously renovated residence in Geelong West, was such a delight to be a part of. The owners – a lovely young professional couple with a newborn addition, had purchased the property and were motivated by the existing styling of the home…but wanted to elevate the interior with quality textures, art, and furnishings. We encouraged the owners to select the art pieces as I feel this is a very personal thing – how a piece resonates with them. It’s especially important for this to ‘sit right’ with those that dwell within on a daily basis. The palette was directed by natural fibers, timber, texture – greens, and pastels. The contemporary kitchen/dining/living space’s stark white walls, concrete flooring, and marble benchtop are offset with a sense of warmth generated by the artwork, forms, materials, and furniture. The Artisan Australia Neva Barstools in oak and leather, add natural materiality and definition to the look with the dark leather seats. Not to mention the functionality at the heart of the home. We also selected the Tesa Chair to frame the delicate glass dining table without competition. Again, playing with the flow of the frames and neutrality of the dining pieces – allowing the artwork to steal the show.
