The garden had a drop from one side to the other, so a retaining wall was built to create a two tiered garden, and facilitate a large flat area for the pool to be installed. Liner pools typically wouldn't be the best choice for a more challenging site like this with a slope to the garden, which is why the retaining wall was a necessity and the end result worked perfectly.
