Seaside Retreat
This compact kitchen works well for entertaining and everyday preparation. A small buffet is built into the wall opposite the island and there is a pantry/laundry combination. This space is located in the centre of the house and a stained glass window above the refrigerator lets in lots of light from the back entry. The lightly washed birch shaker cabinets and oak/purpleheart counters were built by the owner. The slate on the floor was used as the impetus for the colour scheme for the house.
