Staircase make-over
This older home had an oak staircase covered fully in carpet. It was worn in center and had seen better days. Carpet was removed, underneath red oak was badly worn and damaged by liquids of carpet cleaning over the years. Wood was sanded, primed and painted semi-gloss white. Selected a short loop Berber oliphant runner material for the stairs for comfort, safety and of course looks. The carpet in the foyer matched perfectly, found it on Wayfair
