Urban Meadow in Rustic Canyon

The backbone of this garden, the fences, are composed of powder-coated metal and salvaged douglas fir. I used Carex pansa (California Meadow Sedge) as the "lawn." It will grow to approx 8" tall and requires a mow once per year, at most. The other grass is Carex glauca, a favorite of mine often incorporated into my gardens. Other plants in the garden include Ornamental Plum, Euphorbia, Aloe, Agaves, Echeveria, Sedum, Pittosporum, and Liriope. Photo by Eric Brandon Gomez
