The wine cellars line one side of the dining room, each flanking the entry to the butler pantry. The ceiling over this side of the room is intentionally dropped, to give it the feeling of a niche off the dining room proper. The hierarchy of the space is further augmented with the use of a cross beam overhead the dining table; creating a clearly defined center. . Cerused oak wood slats are incorporated into the design of the wine racks to add warmth to the ensemble and makes reference to the oak barrels in which the wine is aged. The design results in the harmonious dialogue between a modern and traditional aesthetic. Photographed By: Robert Grant
