When You DON'T Got It, Flaunt It Anyway!
I loved that super efficient storage closet in my first bedroom. The best story in the room, however, revolves around the art deco nightstand at left. My very first antique acquisition straight out of college and purchased with my first meager earnings! I was so excited about picking it up and taking it home during a lunch break that I missed a neighborhood stop sign just in time to lose the front end of my little un-air-conditioned Volkswagen Golf to the oncoming Suburban. I thought hard to figure out how I'd make that poor car look "professional" again. The closest I could get was "sporty", covering the damage with - God help me - a car bra. :/ Some things you never forget.
