Wood, Stone & Water
The homeowner loves all things wood, and wanted to be surrounded by it. Tamarack from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was used to make all of the tongue and groove for the ceilings and walls as well as these custom cabinets and doors throughout the house. Here in the kitchen, he used walnut slabs with a live edge for the countertops as well. The bar tops, backsplash and sink are all copper and the floor is a durable and easy maintenance faux-slate porcelain (Slaty by Edimax).
