The house is located on a 20-acre hilly site in Northeastern Connecticut. The scale of the large studio in relation to the lower main house required an alteration of the roofline and profile as well as a new addition to create a more harmonious assemblage. The house has a contemporary interior vocabulary that bridges between the traditional interiors of the original rooms of the house. The renovation/addition work included a new entry court and stone terraces. Work was completed in Winter 2006.Photography: Albert Vecerka / Esto
