James made a live edge, bookmatched, waterfall leg, ash table for our corporate office renovation project. The table is used daily for various stand up meetings and sits just inside our main office entry. It is exquisite and gets many compliments! Very happy with James and Cedar Mill Designs on this project.

We are beyond thrilled with our yard. James was both kind and professional throughout the process. Through his attention to detail and artistic touch, his passion for his work truly shines. Not only did he address our initial issue of lack of drainage, he gave us a beautiful kid-friendly space. Highly recommend!

James turned a tired 25 year old wooden deck (2 of them) into a beautiful, maintenance free, flagstone patio and walkway. Added some great planting beds that should give us some great color next season. I can’t wait to see the transformation come Spring. Very satisfied!!!

We love our backyard yard for the first time in twenty years! James is the first contractor we have ever hired that started when he said and completed the job ahead of schedule. He is a true artist in his visions and designs. You not not find another landscape designer that will work as hard and tirelessly for you!

James was extremely helpful from the start. We told him why we wanted a patio and how we were going to use it. From there he gave us very good suggestions and designed a patio that is perfect for our space and our needs. Also, very appreciative that once he started the project, he committed to finishing it as soon as possible rather than stringing it out among other jobs like we have had with other contractors in the past. We would highly recommend James based on quality of work and we felt it was a a good value, money well spent.

I LOVE what James did for our sad and muddy lower patio area. It was never finished and he brought in stone to keep the mud from splattering the house, boulders to bring a new sense of wilderness and nature to our side yard. I expect to use him again this year to continue some work in the back! He's honest, hard-working and has a fabulous imagination to bring special ideas to your project!

We had James Allen Landscape install 3 large evergreen trees for us and were very pleased with the trees he chose and the planting work. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality landscape work.

James had a vision for our backyard from the first time he came to our home. He incorporated the features we requested into his design with an artist twist. The final result was an amazing, unique outdoor living space. He exceeded our expectations and we are extremely pleased with our own personal "Bedrock". James rocks!

James redid our entire landscaping. We had an idea of what we wanted with our lakefront, which was a big unusable hill with two huge trees on one side. James took our idea and created the most amazing boulder retaining walls with two patios tiered into the hill. The lower patio has a built in fire pit and seats. He brought in amazing looking pavers and created a winding walkway from patio to patio and then down to the lake. He surrounded the patios and walkway with wood chips and easy to care for plants. Hardscape is his specialty and it certainly shows, but he also did a great job with redoing our landscaping in the front and side of the house as well. He planted a few new trees and lots of plants surrounding the house and property line. James did all the dirty work with pulling permits and getting approval to do work on the lakefront. We had a 6 week deadline for this massive undertaking and James with little help from others, did a phenomenal job. We are the talk of the lake and we watch the boats go by slowly to see the amazing work that was done.
