I've worked with Kevin Ruedisueli on three major residential projects. Four, if you count the stunning stone manor house I purchased that, as it turned out, had been designed by him as well. Kevin has all three attributes I consider essential in an architect: (1) An intelligent, friendly, down to earth, thoughtful, approachable demeanor, (2) an excellent sense of light, space, proportion, and the appropriate use of architectural elements, and (3) meticulous attention to detail when it comes to the resulting drawings. The end results are timelessly elegant structures that are both beautiful and livable and which are built to withstand the the tests of time both in terms of changing tastes and in terms of durability against the elements. In my experience many architects have one, or sometimes two, of these attributes. It's rare to find one, like Kevin, that has all three. I can't imagine not retaining him again when the next project comes up.

His clients rave about his talents not only because he listens to them and has tremendous design talent, but also because his background as a skilled builder contributes to design solutions that are easily understood and executed by the building contractor. I have worked on four major projects with Kevin over the past ten years and all have had outstanding results. Two of our commercial projects together have won local awards for architectural design. Kevin designed and oversaw the construction of a private residence for me. The home was in excess of 7,000 sq ft, had a slate roof, stone exterior, geothermal HVAC, custom cabinetry and millwork and an extensive array or electronic and electrical installations. Kevin was a "treasure" to work with. All parties including specialty design engineers, the general contractor, various sub-contractors, local and state approval authorities and, of course, the owner found Kevin exceedingly professional, competent and a great communicator. The finished home was a true visual and functional joy!!
