Sarah Elizabeth Design

Sarah was one of the first interior designers I interned with right out of college. Learning the way she executes a project seamlessly from start to finish is something I carry along with in my career. She strives to identify fresh fabrics, decorative objectives and art to create balanced and compelling visual presentations that are uniquely suited to every client’s needs.

We have hired Sarah for various different projects and love working with her. She is patient and determined to make sure you get the vision you want. Most recently, I asked her to help with a powder room and it ended up being exactly what I envisioned.

I hired Sarah Elizabeth Design this past summer after we bought our house in the suburbs. We were moving from NYC and I had no idea how to decorate a house. Sarah has helped us turn our house into a home! From the very beginning, she was extremely responsive and worked diligently sourcing options for furniture, rugs, paint swatches, wallpaper, light fixtures, etc. Sarah immediately began to understand my likes and dislikes and helped me to develop my own taste when it came to choosing style and decor for each room. She helped get so many things done before we even moved into our house so we could feel comfortable upon moving in. And she works so well with other professionals (painters, handymen, etc.) to make every project seamless and hassle-free for me and my family. Her guidance and expertise has truly made me enjoy decorating our home and has made the transition from city- to suburb-living so much better for me. She has a distinct eye for beautiful, luxurious, yet comfortable and practical elements. She has so far designed our master bedroom, master bathroom, living room, dining room, kids' playroom, and more. And, wow, does she have a knack for beautifully designing bookcases! Another important thing to mention is that she works hard to stay within our budget. And she is just a pleasure to work with. Her passion for design really shines through in the spaces she creates. I am looking forward to continuing to work with her!

Sarah Elizabeth redesigned our 12 year old powder room — updating it beautifully while retaining the existing rough plumbing and marble tile. Sarah Elizabeth collaborated with my husband and me to achieve a design we both love. Her attention to the small things that make a huge difference was impressive, and combined with her access to supplier’s reps gave us a wide range of choices that still fit our budget and timeline. The project finished one week early and we are delighted with the outcome.
