“Archisegno was the perfect Architectural firm for us. They worked with us on our entire design, incorporated all of our ideas, and developed the plans to make our dreams a reality. When we wanted some changes they made them for us. BUT did a great job of incorporating our original thoughts and ideas into the plans as they presented them to us. So the selections were more what we liked BEST vs... having to make significant changes to the design. The team lead by Felicia was understanding of our needs and wants and designed layouts that suited what our overall dreams were. They also had a great detail in structure and ensuring everything was done properly so our completed home was not only beautiful but structurally sound as well. We couldn't have been more pleased with the process and design and highly recommend them to everyone!”

“We had never been homeowners, let alone renovators, before we bought a brownstone in Carroll Gardens, and ACHA was the perfect partner to get us through a daunting process to the home we wanted. Ali helped us figure out and then implement the right plan for us. He was great on the big picture and the detail -- taking the time to learn our style preferences and developing them into options we never would have thought of on our own. He was patient with us and effective at translating our priorities (and financial constraints!) to the contractors. Ali made optimal use of our limited space -- fitting in a powder room on a parlor floor, where it didn't seem one could fit, along with an open living/dining area, and three comfortable bedrooms and two baths on the garden level. And he designed a fabulous deck and got us through the treacherous Department of Building approval process for it! I cannot overstate the unusual combination of aesthetic sophistication and practical know-how ACHA offers.”

“If you are looking for an architect, look no further than Chad at SOON Architecture. We did not know what to expect and were a little intimidated by the whole process at first. We had never worked with an architect before and were not sure how this would go. Well, our first meeting with Chad, we knew we were in good hands and he was the right person for the job. He explained everything to us, with as much or as little detail as we needed. He was also so patient with all of my questions (and I had a lot of them). He always had a smile and was very flexible with our needs. He met with the contractors on-site to walk them through the project and was always available by phone to answer their questions as well to get the right materials and specifications for their quote. We will work with Chad again in the future and we highly recommend him for all of your architectural needs. (Tusten, NY)”

“LEAP designed our modern and green home addition. They handled much of the creative work on the project, as well as detailed renderings, bid consultations, and construction supervision. LEAP's work was very creative and responded directly to our needs. They found ways to get energy efficiency and modern design details into a "buildable" and cost-conscious project. They are humble, hardworking, and consistent. I would choose to work with LEAP Architecture again without hesitation.”

“I found Ben Herzog Architects while browsing Houzz.com. I would add photos to my ideabook and discovered that most of the projects were done by Ben! Ben has been great helping us decide how we can maximize space in our 1917 Brooklyn row house. We have decided on a more open floor plan, new wood plank floors, high hat lighting, a bit larger kitchen space with higher ceiling and an island, a shallow broom closet and banquette seating in our dining room. The demolition began 9/5/12 and as a result we have discovered that we can open up the doorway openings even more than planned! Ben is happily revising his drawings and I can't wait to see the changes! Ben and his team are easy to work with and very helpful with design and product ideas while keeping our budget in mind!”

“From our first meeting, it was clear that Jim would put his all into our job. Throughout a long design and build time frame he never flagged. I'm sure we weren't the easiest clients--- lots of opinions, evolving needs, impatient with delays, heavily involved. His good humor and steady guidance under pressure were greatly appreciated. Renovating any 120 year old building is full of surprises--- our project certainly had its share of twists and turns. JIm anticipated many potential problems and the issues he couldn't have seen coming, he handled admirably. One example— during he course of construction Jim discovered a potentially unsafe structural condition that could have cost a fortune to correct if the most obvious solution were pursued. Instead, he and his engineering team came up with a brilliantly simple alternate approach that corrected the irregularity for a marginal cost. Jim was able to work well with the tradesman, insisting on professionalism without getting into ego games, confident in his knowledge and still open to alternate solutions. He is thoroughly versed in the intricacies of the applicable building codes, skilled in the various crafts, resourceful and professional. What was most gratifying is that he clearly took a personal stake in the success of the project. Late hours, early mornings, many site visits and trips to the D.O.B.; without his dedication, we would not have the home we have today.”

“Robie is terrific. We interviewed quite a few architects for this job. Many had great ideas and beautiful plans though they were double our budget. Robie stuck to the budget and came up with lots of great ideas. He was very flexible and creative. We'd use him again in a heartbeat!!!! We love the result and the pictures posted don't do it justice!”
