“We had a 3 year old home which we loved but was no longer working for our growing family. We approached OWA to add a bedroom and media space to the basement and much needed functionality and light to our home office. In the end, they improved nearly every room in our home. It was wonderful having all the trades including painting, millwork, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, flooring, and drywall under their direction. This was our first experience with a design-build firm, fortunately OWA laid out the process beforehand and expertly guided us through planning, drafting, demo, and construction. The team worked carefully and thoughtfully to incorporate the new design seamlessly into our existing architecture. We couldn't be happier with the quality of construction and attention to detail.”

“The best way to describe if one likes or dislikes their builder is if they continue to work with them. Greg Burrus built our Norton Common House 10 years ago. We chose his construction over others due to his creativity, craftsmanship, and quality of materials. When ever we've needed him he has always been their immediately for us. So when it was time to finish our basement 5 years later, Greg was our first choice. No he wasn't the cheapest. Their are plenty of cheap builders around. He is the best and there is no free lunch. Now we are talking to Greg about a major addition or perhaps even a new house. That's how much we respect the work he does along with his associate Scott Tomes. So if you are looking for a quality builder...Look no further than Burrus Architecture & Construction. I also noted a negative review on Google. It is obviously a fraud most likely by a competitor. First for what it says and factually for what the claim about the way things are done in Norton Commons. Google will not remove a comment even after protest and hence it is still inappropriately here.”

“Working with Anne is transformative. When she talks about the project, she focuses on how you will use the space, and how you want it to feel when it is complete. This is very freeing, and is the essence of a great architect, because the client is not required to solve her own problems. Anne designed a new screened in porch for me, and we started - not with: how big shall I draw it and where shall I site it - but with: how will you use it, and how many people do you want to have on it? The end result was surprising, not what I could have thought up, and works perfectly with the style of my house and the style of my life. Anne also designed a home interior remodel for a close friend of mine, and the process and result were similar; she started with How do you want to use the space, and worked around to planning the best use. Anne is also very aware of spending the client's money effectively; she's not one to add features just to add features. At the same time, the end design is refined as well as efficient. She's great to work with, too!”
