“We did a complete gut and remodel of almost our entire home, and Aimee did all of the design work, from conception to execution, including the kitchen and great room, two bathrooms, 3 bedrooms. “We used Lauren for a complete remodel including kitchen, multiple bathrooms, playroom, and bedroom. We used her for complete architectural and interior design. She was with us from start to finish of the project and we owe the success to her. Lauren has great design skills which is completely obvious by viewing her portfolio. The equally as helpful (and likely more important) skills that she brings to the table are her attention to detail and her perseverance in dealing with the contractors. She is there at every meeting to crack the proverbial whip and is very responsive (NYC responsive ;) to email/ phone/ text. I have and will continue to recommend her without reservation.”

“Michael was a joy to work with for our remodeling project. He was patient, responsive, and highly collaborative throughout the whole process. His creativity and design acumen helped us to solve some complex layout problems, and to connect the indoors and outdoors in an original and impressive way. In addition to the overall plan, he also designed smaller components that needed his knowledge and attention to detail, including a lighting scheme, shelving system, and custom outdoor furniture. He helped us to research unfamiliar building materials, and provided ample design ideas that we shared using an online file folder. The end result was a space that works beautifully for us and is superior in every way to what we had before. Michael's familiarity with the remodel process from soup to nuts made it possible for him to interface effectively with all the contractors, vendors, and specialists (such as the structural engineer that we needed). He made timely suggestions that improved their work and guided our choices as things unfolded. I highly recommend him for any significant remodel project like ours and smaller jobs that require smart, elegant, cost-effective ideas.”

“We worked with Leaf Design Associates at the suggestion of our builder. The entire experience was a pleasure. We were very clear about what we wanted and Richard was able to translate our wish list into two different sets of drawings and a third suggesting things we had not thought of and a re-design of our kitchen. In the end, we mixed and matched to come up with a final set of plans, including a new kitchen and are thrilled that we did. This was a redesign/addition to a historic home. Richard worked upfront with our builder and excavator to make sure the design worked within the restrictions set by the Historical Commission. The plans were approved by the Commission on first pass and they noted how pleased they were that the addition looked like it belonged on the original house. Overall, an excellent experience and we highly recommend Leaf Design Associates.”

They took the time to explain to me and my husband what needed to be done and very often gave us helpful ideas. We went into the project with a strong idea of what we wanted. “For more than two years commencing in August 2002 I worked with Hope and Brad of Salmon Falls Woodworks to restore and renovate a large c1725 house my husband and I purchased in 2001. We lived in the house throughout the project, and what could have been fraught with tension and difficulty was a wonderful adventure. There is not a room in the house that they did not touch with their skill and care. The kitchen and laundry area presented a major design and construction challenge, but Brad and Hope transformed a warren of small dark rooms into a beautiful, sunny space that functions perfectly for two active cooks. While remaining true to the spirit and aesthetic of the house this space now has 21st century efficiency and satisfies our modern desire to connect the interior with the garden and landscape beyond. It was a delight to work with two people whose high standards matched my own. Hope and Brad are experienced craftsmen who work with great sensitivity, conscientiousness and integrity. Further, their design and execution skills for both cabinet making and general construction are unmatched in my experience.
