Over a number of years they have supported 2 projects at our house - new bathroom, new kitchen and other changes that made the house meet our needs. In the last job, we had ambitious plans, they listened to why we wanted to do it and suggested a smarter, much lower cost approach that gave us exactly what we needed. One innovative idea that no one had suggested in 10 years of our living there until they and it saved me quite a lot of money. Their work is thorough and top notch.”

    “Michael Lewis is a consummate designer with years of experience, talent, and organizational ability. We felt supported by Michael and his able firm throughout our project. There was a culture of sensitivity to our needs throughout the firm and skillful handling of issues as they inevitably cropped up. The firm worked with our century old house to bring it into the modern age, by retrofitting an amazing kitchen into limited space and converting an unusable attic space into a dream master bedroom suite with dormers, increasing our living space significantly.     “If you are looking for an architect, look no further than Chad at SOON Architecture. We did not know what to expect and were a little intimidated by the whole process at first. We had never worked with an architect before and were not sure how this would go. Well, our first meeting with Chad, we knew we were in good hands and he was the right person for the job. He explained everything to us, with as much or as little detail as we needed. He was also so patient with all of my questions (and I had a lot of them). He always had a smile and was very flexible with our needs. He met with the contractors on-site to walk them through the project and was always available by phone to answer their questions as well to get the right materials and specifications for their quote. We will work with Chad again in the future and we highly recommend him for all of your architectural needs. (Tusten, NY)”

    “My husband and I first hired Unger and Mahns in 2000 to build our 5500 Sq. ft. house in Rumson,NJ.The design was classic,sophisticated,tasteful and timeless."Michael and Michael" guided us through the design and construction and were available on site whenever the builder needed them.When we sold the house in 2008,the structural engineer that the buyers hired to inspect the house said it was one of the best built homes he had ever inspected. In 2006,we hired them again to do the plans for our summer home in Cape May, N.J. They designed our fabulous dutch colonial that looks like it is 100 years old.We are consistently told that is it one of the prettiest homes in town and not a day goes by where someone doesn't stop and comment on it.Our builder in CM said that the plans he received from U and M were the most detailed and complete set of plans he had ever worked with. They designed the new Rumson Country Club Pool House.It is a masterpiece! I am a real estate agent and my husband is as type "A" as they come.We are tough customers and pretty demanding.We recommend U and M 100% and feel they are worth their weight in gold.They are not the least expensive in the area but you get what you pay for.They are thorough,knowledgeable and very experienced.”

    “I found Ben Herzog Architects while browsing Houzz.com. I would add photos to my ideabook and discovered that most of the projects were done by Ben! Ben has been great helping us decide how we can maximize space in our 1917 Brooklyn row house. We have decided on a more open floor plan, new wood plank floors, high hat lighting, a bit larger kitchen space with higher ceiling and an island, a shallow broom closet and banquette seating in our dining room. The demolition began 9/5/12 and as a result we have discovered that we can open up the doorway openings even more than planned! Ben is happily revising his drawings and I can't wait to see the changes! Ben and his team are easy to work with and very helpful with design and product ideas while keeping our budget in mind!”
