JoAnn has been a blessing in order to find challenges in the design and give alternative to fix any problems. She does not want to sell you just the most expensive stuff, but those materials that really match your style. You can tell she listens and understands what a customer wants. “Matt at Builder Specialties, Inc. was very helpful to me in designing cabinets for a renovation including bathroom, closet, and hallway space. His knowledge of wood types and cabinet design was very helpful in choosing veneers and configurations to fit the available spaces. When an error in construction interfered with installation, Matt had the cabinets rebuilt, at no cost to me, so that they could be installed correctly,. They are lovely, fulfill the requirements of the spaces, and of high quality. In addition, when I needed one last custom-built cabinet, Matt stepped in and helped me design it, placed the order, and hired a subcontractor to do the installation. Again, the work was entirely satisfactory and the cabinet works beautifully. When there was a question about the billing, Matt resolved it to my satisfaction. I would recommend Builder Specialties, Inc. for cabinets for bathrooms, kitchens, and other home areas.”

“Completely satisfied on all fronts. This was our second extensive house renovation project, the first being with another firm in another state. After the challenges of that project it was a relief and breath of fresh air to work with the Montpelier Construction team. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism came through in every way, and the proof is in the finished product -- beautiful! We did a complete kitchen/bath renovation, and took out a load-bearing wall and installed a steel beam to make an open floor plan. “I purchased a home in Quechee VT that had not been touched in over 20 years and oh it looked it. Ralph Eames, the principal, looked it over and took it all on. Within 5 months the house was complete and wonderful. At least all the people Ralph brought with him did a fantastic job. I made the mistake of hiring the flooring and HVAC contractors and they caused a nightmare. The plumbers installed an icemaker I didn't want, and when I told them I didn't want it they installed a valve which somehow leaked or was turned on so there was a very slow drip for 3-6 months. The flooring contractor never did a moisture test on our concrete slab which, it turns out is damp. Between them they caused a massive mold problem so almost everything that was renovated had to be removed. Floors- out. Cabinets-out Walls- out. But Ralph and his people came to the rescue and re-renovated and put it all back together so that all is well. Kind, thorough, quick to reply. I wish they had been around to renovate other homes I have lived in.”
