“I had some pipes burst a few winters ago, what started as misfortune became an opportunity for an incredible restoration - The Underwood Brothers re-did the floors of our 1773 farmhouse beautifully in keeping with the historical elements of the home. I can't recommend them enough! Photos are from a few years after project completion with the floors still shining.”

“Beacon Hill Builders work is excellent and beautiful. And they are fun to work with. I had the pleasure of photographing two of their unique homes in the past three years. One was a complex circular three story design, where curves that are difficult to build were executed to perfection. Both houses have been published in national magazines. I was given all the time and help that I needed, and allowed to suggest views to them. They are very flexible and easy to work with. You will totally enjoy your experience with Beacon Hill Builders”

“Thank goodness We found The Finishing Company after many bad experiences with local contractors. We have been happy ever since!!!!! Daniel is meticulous and always wants his customers to be 100% happy with the results. He is thoughtful and creative and has worked so well with us to get our home renovated to our exact specifications. Never before have we had the good fortune of working with someone like him. He asks the right questions, listens to what we have to say and has made brilliant suggestions on how to enhance our 1970s chalet. “After we bought a house in Stowe Vermont in 2011 we hired Patterson and Smith to do extensive renovations for our home, knowing that they had originally built the home in 2000. We extended the house to provide for a new entry and mudroom, and expanded and completely remodeled the master bath. The work was all completed with excellent workmanship, in a timely fashion, and within our allotted budget. Shap Smith was a pleasure to work with, expecially considering our permenant home is St. Thomas, VI, so we could not be present during the construction period. We got updates and pictures regularly, and when we arrived back in Stowe for Christmas everything was complete, working, and clean!”

“We loved working with Understory and would trust them with any project, they will be our first call in future. They do high quality work and ensure that from all of their subcontractors as well. Their problem solving abilities on site were impressive, they always came up with solutions to tricky problems that kept us on track. They're highly organized and good communicators. Impressively, they delivered on schedule and on budget during a time period with inflation and supply chain issues where no one else we knew of could pull that off. Pricing was transparent and fair. And they bring a positive energy to the jobsite, from Brad and Kieran and all of the team, who are all nice people that you'd want working on your house. We could not recommend them highly enough!”

“My wife and I built our dream home in Stowe, Vermont. Our relationship with Travis Cutler a partner at Donald Blake was most enjoyable, considering the size of this undertaking. We established a fixed price at the out set and knew any extras would be an additional cost. My wife who is an interior designer and who designed the whole house was very efficient and made sure all details would be submitted on time. So from the original estimation of 19 months the house was completed in 16 months. Our architect Cushman Design Group did not need to supervise, since he had complete confidence in the builders capabilities. All the crew were very professional and they took great pride in their work and it showed in the finish product. We would highly recommend Donald Blake Jr. for any future building projects.
