Charter Custom Homes
King County, WA Renovation Contractors
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars7 March 2013
“It’s been almost 4 years since we remodeled our kitchen and powder room and added a deck and we continue to love the result! Working with Charter made the remodel a fun and gratifying experience. We were – still are – delighted with their quality work, commitment to staying on time and within budget, and personable service. The project involved the complete demolition of our existing kitchen and powder room, bumping out two external walls and one internal wall, completely rebuilding the kitchen, and adding a deck. We also had them rebuild a set of exterior cement stairs that connect the house to the street. We found the Charter team to be highly professional, personable, and very easy to work with. They were on time, followed through on what they offered, developed a time line and cost estimate and stayed on schedule and on budget. They went above and beyond on a number of occasions – negotiating the best price and finding resources for us. Our project was incredibly well managed and appeared seamless. We were amazed and delighted with the coordination and timely execution of our project. I can’t rave enough about working with Charter. Whenever the topic of construction or remodeling comes up, I sing Charter’s praises. Dependability, reliability, caring, dedication to the job, quality work, on task, on schedule, on budget are all words I use to describe their work. We are delighted with our project. “Zia Construction has our highest recommendation! Adam and Fred came out to our place in North Bend last year to build a new deck for us. Their craftsmanship was excellent, plus they are great people to work with! We liked their work so much that after finishing the deck we had them back a second time for another project, which was to refurbish our existing deck to match the railing style of the deck they had just finished. Great work, and well worth the cost (which was very reasonable)! Will have them back again for our next project.”

“Great Experience with Levite Construction, from beginning to end. The first meeting setup was quick, there was no pressure and I felt that I’m dealing with a professional with a wide experience right away. After the first meeting with Yair the company G.C, the office has scheduled a second meeting with the company interior designer that helped us to creat on a 3D the beautiful kitchen that we were dreaming about. The construction phase was smooth as possible for a project on this scale and I was always comfortable in the process knowing that Yair will be able to handle any obstacle that may arise. The kitchen we have today is a masterpiece and you see the love and attention in every detail in the room. Highly recommend this professional team at Levite Construction for any remodeling project you have!”
BUILDER LAND LLC

“We just completed a laundry room/ half bath remodel. I have to give the highest recommendation to our contractor Edward and his company Builder Land. "I ended up getting five bids for my laundry room/ half bath remodel. Builder Land was almost the last. Edward, the owner, was the ONLY ONE who recommended tearing up the old flooring down to the subfloor! All the others were pitching slapping another layer on top of what was the existing flooring! Which turned out to be two layers already. We initiated this remodel because the old toilet had leaked. So I really wanted to see the condition of the subfloor. There ended up being only minor damage and it was easily repaired. Wouldn't of happened with the other contractors. That was a BIG deal to me. The next defining aspect was the detail of the bid. Only one other contractor came close to the detail and clarity of the bid. We selected the cabinets, vanities and countertops from a list of vendors that Edward gave us. He verified all measurements and placed the order. We received a copy of HIS bill and payed no markup. We order all the faucets, laundry rack, towel ring, toilet, medicine cabinet and had them delivered. So once again no markup. The result of this a final project cost that was $11,000 lower than the next closest bid. I'm not a guy who goes with the lowest bid. But the clear presentation of the estimate detailing labor and specifics for each aspect of the project gave me a degree of confidence. Builder Land was ready to go in a few weeks. The work was completed in 10 work days. The construction quality and detail was excellent. My ONLY challenge was a degree of communication difficulty with the on-site workers. Ukrainian immigrants who spoke English to a degree meant that more complex discussions were conducted with Edward, the owner, during his frequent job site visits to make sure we were all on the same page. The workers were hard working and diligent with annoyingly sunny dispositions. Yeah I'm a cranky old man. I hate remodeling but if you're going to do it this is a good company to do it with."”

“This company did a fabulous job for me. They remodeled my old kitchen, dining, and laundry room from the 1960's and brought it totally up to date with new cabinets, repaired plumbing and wiring, new lights, appliances, wall covering, French door, flooring, granite countertops, country sink, and glass tile backsplash. Another of my objectives was to have all three room blend, and look like they belonged in the same house. LOL. One stumbling block was my meager budget, but Jeff was incredible at finding bargains and helping me cut corners and still have it look great. Everything was done to my liking and specifications. Jeff was incredibly easy to work with and what really stood out in the very beginning, were his plans, schedule, and record keeping. We'd had a bad experience in the past with a remodel, and that company had no plans or schedules that we ever saw. Jeff's were clear and technical. The job was completed on schedule and I loved the clean, orderly, friendly way he worked and the reasonable price of his work. It was totally, a great experienced that left me wondering, wow, what can we do next?”

“in Renton, WA Project: Install a Wood Fence The team members were all very nice and did an outstanding job on my fence. On the last day, they worked through rain and until 7:30 pm to get the job done by the deadline. I will use them again and recommend them freely.”
Gaspar's Construction

“We hired Gaspar's to give the run-down, 104 year old Seattle house we purchased a "makeover," including refinishing the original fir floors, partial kitchen and basement upgrades, and detailed painting of miles of original wood trim! Gaspar's was upfront, professional, and responsive in every aspect, providing a dedicated and experienced project manager who kept us informed and involved at every step. The project was smooth, streamlined, and we loved the results so much we hired Gaspar'sagain the following year to remodel our main bathroom. They carefully preserved and restored the original clawfoot tub, and suggested upgrades that were modern but preserved the original character of our home, including a new pedestal sink with modern lines. I would not hesitate to recommend Gaspar's, especially for that "complete experience" from start to finish.”
