Josh not only worries about execution, but also thinks about design, logistics, cosmetic and aesthetics. This is important to me. I don't always have the know how, but have the idea of what I want and Josh always seems to find a way to fit the design of what I am thinking. “Steve was a great partner to work with on our recent net zero Design/Build collaboration! Steve was able to take our detailed list of design requirements and create an incredibly functional home plan that ultimately satisfied all of our needs and desires. Highlights of our project included: - The final home plan was the product of a highly collaborative and iterative design process that relied upon 3D renderings and walkthroughs to test and review the plan at each stage of design. This allowed us to validate the plan and, where necessary, make adjustments before construction actually started. We can honestly say that there is nothing material we would change about the design. - Steve’s extensive background in modular and net zero construction ensured an extremely energy-efficient home (HERS score of 11) - Our building envelope presented some interesting positional challenges that Steve was able to solve elegantly and efficiently. - Steve not only accommodated our desire to do the interior finishing work (i.e., cabinetry, tiling, flooring, painting, etc.) ourselves, but in fact actively facilitated our ability to do so by adjusting his build plan to complete our workshop well before the rest of the house was completed. “We have hired LakeHouse Design Build for several major projects at our lakeside cabin in Belgrade, Maine, and have been thrilled with the work done. Projects included a complete rebuild of portions of the main floor, including a new entrance porch, redesigned kitchen, bathroom, interior stairways, shelving, wiring updates, exterior patio, exterior stairways, and others. The work done was based on our wishes and requirements, but the design and details primarily reflected Mr. Bill Hudson's unique skills as a builder and designer. He was able to identify options that did not occur to us, and came up with designs that preserved the old camp character of the building while incorporating the modernization and comfort we sought. He was very skilled at managing modifications to cope with engineering and other challenges discovered in dealing with an 80+ year old cabin. Mr. Hudson's work reflects a remarkable attention to detail and quality. He is meticulous, careful, and will not accept poor quality work or materials. He does virtually all the work himself or with some assistance, and does not leave things to subcontractors in his absence. He communicated with us frequently and in detail, including regular photo project reports. He promptly involved us in any decisions, changes, or other planning information as the project progressed. His results have been wonderful for us - and are the source of constant favorable comments from neighbors, visitors, and others. We initially learned of his work from several neighbors whose projects reflected similar quality work from him. After researching area contractors before engaging this work, I had no doubt he was the best choice for our projects. We would hire him again for additional work without hesitation, and I have no reservations in recommending him to others.”

“Ken was hired to design and construct a large three bay garage with ample open concept living space above. The project was rich with complexity regarding septic design, town approval, and orientation on the land. Ken met personally with all the trades needed and worked through weather and illness adversities to complete the project on time while keeping it thoughtfully updated along the way without a significant financial increase. We were very happy with the level of professionalism and communication; very folksy, yet quite knowledgeable. I would (and will) hire Build Rite construction again.”

“We worked with Leverage Construction building our new home. It was a pleasure from the start with the blueprints, to the very end, with every minor detail! Rick was very understanding in what we wanted, and took the time to really listen and made it all happen. He also offered help in explaining each process and phase of building. Very knowledgeable in every aspect of the project. They are very professional and understanding especially when we'd change our mind about something. Each deadline was met as expected , and even helped us same some money!! Leverage Construction's work met our expectations and more! The quality of their work is top notch, and I definitely would highly recommend them to anybody doing any kind of a home project! They are the best! “Glen and Matt are the contractor/Builders you would wait in line for. Never have I had a better experience estimates are right on the money and Glen's honesty is never in question. Several times he was able to pass on materials savings to us, and the quality of workmanship--perfection! Matt and Glen maintain the highest level of professionalism in their personal conduct. I would trust them with my house and all of my belonging without a care--they are as trustworthy as it gets. When we need builders for any more remodeling or building, we will only use Halldale Builders. I stand four-square behind this review even several years later.”
