“My husband and I have lived in our home for almost 30 years and apart from a few updates in the past, we knew our home needed some freshening up. We called Karen Vander Werp of Transforming Interiors and with her amazing vision and incredible eye for detail, our dining/living room has been completely redone and we are so thrilled with the results! She was able to work with a few pieces of furniture that we wanted to keep and incorporated them into an updated an amazing look. From painting our tire woodwork, painting our oak table, modernizing our 3-way fireplace with faux painting and adding a new seating area with beautiful window treatments, the dining room was completely transformed. It was the same with the living room a year later. She was able to see options that we wouldn't have noticed or thought of. From artwork to furniture to accessories to window treatments, she was "spot on" every time. What we also appreciated was the way she listened to us and what our likes and dislikes were and would fins ways to ensure her vision, along with keeping our wants and needs. Plus she made it fun and interesting. We learned so much from her guidance. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed working with her now and will look forward to when we will get a chance to do so again in the future.”

“We had Homework Construction do some smaller projects for us, and there was no question that we wanted Ken to do the kitchen remodel on our 25 year old kitchen in our 50 year old house, built on a slab. Ken is honest, highly skilled, thorough, creative, and respectful of budgets and timelines. He makes suggestions that are within budget, yet give you even more of the result you had in mind. There is no drama, even when the usual challenges arise, e.g., a totally rotted wall behind the old sink and dishwasher. Ken suggested a simple doorway expansion between the kitchen and back entry, which we hadn't even considered, but traffic flows so much better. He had to enlarge the cutout for our double oven, a huge challenge, done perfectly. The required custom build between the free standing hutch and upper cupboards with crown moulding is beautiful. The columns he created to house electrical on the hutch ends are perfect. He was our 'attentive advocate' when an electrician planned to drill holes in the upper cupboards; Ken insisted that the wiring go through the adjoining stock cabinet space. He did a custom cutout on the drawer below the electric cooktop to accommodate the wiring, so I actually have a functional drawer there. He suggested bumping out the wall to the adjoining garage so that we could have a counter depth 33 cf frig. He and his team were always most pleasant, arrived on time, worked dependably, and cleaned up after themselves. The Diamond cabinet rep asked to see the finished project; she was highly impressed with the quality of the work. “Cutting Edge designed and built our basement remodel. They started with unfinished space and re-engineered load bearing walls to open it up. We now how have a wet bar, built in TV wall and shelving, a full bath, a wine closet, and space for an air hockey table. In addition, they replaced countertops in our kitchen and replaced our master bath shower. The end result is absolutely beautiful. The workmanship is top notch. As is typical with this type of project, we had some scheduling delays and minor cost overruns, but we are very happy with the finished project.”

Bob didn't try and force his solution to fit our needs as most of the other contractors. He listened to what we wanted and came up with a solution that was perfect for us at a reasonable price.”

“Scott Christopher, or more specifically his renovation company Surpass, did a spectacular job completely remodeling our 1946 Cape Cod lake house. Previously it had very limited views of the lake but today, with the addition of a new kitchen space and elimination of numerous walls, the lake is visible from virtually every room. While the house has clearly been modernized his cabinet makers and workmen preserved the traditional feel of our old house. In addition, we signed on with a specific finish date in mind, December 24, giving them barely 4 months to complete. Although it frequently required weekend construction, which we lived through, they were done on the 20th.”
