Need help on dining chairs

I'm getting this amazing mid-century dining table for my mid-century rancher but there aren't any chairs that go with it. I already have some turquoise slope counter stools nearby. So I was thinking about some clear ghost chairs. What do you think? here's the table...

I really like the shape and comfort of the ones in first picture and you could have these just at the ends and ghost chairs along with sides.[houzz=

Hi, Could you add a pic of the lounge area outside bedrooms? There seem to be too many palettes of colours within furniture from white tv cabinet to dark brown book shelf to light brown dining to black/blue/beige sitting pieces. Tie up sitting by adding few cushions in possibly black/white/blue combo. Extend sitting area of living through the entire span of AC wall. You need a larger rug for this space. Angle dining table between 30 to 45 degrees with long length between detached counter corner to bookshelf end towards lounge. This will add the flow to lounge. Add a table runner along the centre of the long length. You need larger artwork pics or a collection of art pieces on living room wall behind beige sofa. Lounge can have a console and wall with a composition of family picture frames to personalise space. Remove blue artwork in the last pic. Instead, you can add a composition of wall shelves with artefacts on them or wall hooks with hanging artefacts. Rugs, table lamps, floor lamps and few bold decorative pieces will add the required warmth. A round centre table in the living room can be good.

I would get rid of that pendant. Here's one link to industrial pendant lights http://www.houzz.com/industrial-pendants Pick a light that you like and show it to your landlord. I bet she/he will say yes to your suggestion since pendant lights can easily be changed. In fact, if there's already a really secure junction box there already i bet they may even go with a ceiling fan light combo if that's what you really want

Your home looks cozy. Cant really tell what is the existing colour on the walls? Is it white? Try painting a sample of sage green. Look at a tone that you like. If all else fails, speak to a creative designer who could come to your home and help you re-look your space.

Hi yoyo188, that's a very detailed plan! Looks fine with me, except I have a concern regarding the dining area. (The following done with Houzz Sketch function!) Just wondering if some of the guests at the dining table might potentially be facing the shoe rack? I agree that your table is a lovely piece,I'm just not sure about the ghost chairs,maybe you could bring one home and try it? The mid century modern chair posted above looks good too. Here's some pics that may be of help, but they may also not be your style.

Your table is awesome and the chair possibilities are endless I was thinking the same as jacksplash on the chairs they would look perfect!

I already have some counter stools of that same chair above in the same room. Not sure I want to use the same style.

The table you selected is beautiful. Using ghost chairs is a great idea because of the contrast it will have with the wood, they wouldn't obstruct the design of the table base and it coordinates with the mid-century style. I agree with Maureen on having different end chairs. Many people refer to these as captain chairs. You could use the Eames chair shown above (jacksplash photo) on the end of the table to tie in with your existing stools or select something different within the mid-century style. Good luck!
