Need help for my kitchen

Want to paint cabinets, walls, and do backsplash. Have an island table I included a picture of that has black base and wood top. Granite countertops and stainless appliances. Don't know if I should do light color on cabinets or dark. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

I'd paint cabinets + island, white or sightly off-white (test white paint choices on foam boards). SS hinges, knobs. Backsplash to match floor. See photos.

Sometimes you cannot remove the 4" granite b/c it leaves a gap. Have the back splash above:

Using last photo as inspiration: depending on condition of cabinets: leave cabinets as they are and match a wood floor to them.

The granite "back splash" should have been sit on top of the granite top, as long as it was fit nicely, against the wall, and the wall was fairly true (straight and flat), removing the granite splash and doing the new back splash down to the counter should be no issue. (the Builder I work with imports, fabricates and installs their own granite, as well as cabinets)
If you like the look of the Island, go with a off white, creamy cabinet color maybe. Accent is the key, but much depends on your taste, and ultimately the "final style" you wish to have.
Painting the cabinets can be a huge amount of work, however, the time saver would be a distress "rub off look" goes well as accent to the creamy white. With this, less "total finish stripping" is required prior to paint. A good painter can do this with little effort.

We do hundreds of homes each year, and all are varied, color, finish, some match, some stain, some paint and many with multi colored cabinets. Find a couple pics you like, and describe your ideas well to a good contractor, or, if you plan to do it yourself, print good pics and hang them to work towards.......

I was hoping to see a photo because I thought maybe there are other options than curtain dividers. If you say that the space is not that big, I think it should not be closed with curtain dividers. It could stay open but separated with a sofa table with a vase or a lamp.

Your drawing does not show enough information to render much advice. I assume the few dimensions you show are in centimeters ? If you are looking for advice from US designers we are work in inches. The best advice I can offer is to hire a certified kitchen designer. Believe me it will be well worth the money when you consider the dollars spent on a kitchen remodel. You can find designers in your area thru NKBA.org.

Hi Fred, Thanks for the want of the precise measurements. The U shape area in my kitchen is 64" - 104 - 99" (left - centre - right). Height of the kitchen area is 107". The wall with the fridge has total length of 99" Fridge is 32" wide, 29" deep, 73" high (I bought this fridge on a good bargain but realized it was slightly oversized in this kitchen area, but got to live with it now) The wall beside the fridge is 23" deep I know some gap has to be left between this wall, the fridge and the wall mounted/countertop cabinets for ventilation I guess. So I'd say the cabinets on this wall will have a length of only 63"/64"? The microwave is 18.5 wide, 13" deep, 10.5" high The oven is 24" wide, 24" deep, 24" high. The wall next to the fridge which will have this feature cabinet 42" wide, 110" high which is next to the main door. I'm thinking the feature wall is kind of plain, but it covers up where the fridge is sticking out.
