Need help on the furniture layout for open plan living room
Comments (9)Thanks for your comments, its great to discuss with houzers! You are so right @decoenthusiaste the view is beautiful and one reason why I chose the apartment. the room is longer than it is wide, and I wanted the kitchen/bar to be included in the seating so the attached pic is how I was planning to lay it out. @cdrdesign I can't/change the table, its a gorgeous mahogany piece I had custom made and one I see keeping for some years yet! I dont plan a TV in this room, will put it in another room. This room in for living and entertaining guests. Sorry I dont have layout software, so you will have to make do with my scribbles using powerpoint! Could really do with help on choosing the light fitting in place of the central fan- what would look nice here or should I wait till the furniture gets here to choose the light to match?...See MoreNaughty kitchen no-no's
Comments (20)One of my pet peeves was with my ex, he insisted he would help wash the pots/pans that could not go in the dishwasher. However, even if they sat in the sink for days he would get angry at me for "not trusting him to keep his word" if I washed them before he got to it. So my choices were to wait - sometimes weeks - with the same dirty pots sitting in the sink and unable to use them for cooking until they were clean or wash them myself and get yelled at and send him into a spiral of depression since he had bipolar tendencies. Oh - and of course if I ever mentioned the fact that there were unwashed pots in the sink or asked when he would get to them that was considered "nagging" and would cause another argument and subsequent depression....See Morei am bored with the look of my home!
Comments (26)Hi. It's looking really good and you've done well with the bookshelves! ! I love the new sofa! I would say just a tad more yellow if your husband can bear it, doesn't have to be solid yellow. I'd add something else on the left shelves (I'd move one shelf of photos to the right hand shelving and swap for some books), maybe a ginger jar if you can get an old one. Maybe a patterned throw or cushion for your wooden chair and a small yellow throw for the bench just draped over the corner. Table idea sounds great. Are you happy with it? I think it's made such a big difference...See MoreWhere to source for tiles in Singapore
Comments (4)Hi Ibrahim, most of the tile/flooring suppliers carry a range of tiles similar to ones that you like. Try Soon Bee Huat, or Hafary. They carry quite a large range of trendy tiles. You might be surprised that you might find some other design that might inspire you even more....See Moremajax
