Looking for window dimensions

What are the dimensions of the main lower windows? I'm trying to decide on how big to make the windows of my screen porch so I can set up the custom inserts for winter.

These are custom made screens rather than windows that are roughly 42" x 60". Each wall was calculated to create equal sized screens for symmetry. Thanks for your interest!

Perfect Mike, 42" X 60" aprox really helps. I like the look and size of the screens. We're doing the same type of custom job and will try to create that symmetry as well. We are also going to make custom Plexiglass inserts for the colder months. Have you had any experience creating something like that and how to secure them? Thanks!

I would run honeycomb blinds (blackout or not), one running the whole distance to the edge of the other window, then run the short one so it runs into the other blind making a butt joint. this seems to me to be light tight and pleasing to the eye.

I think the window tint would be exactly what you're looking for. There's some window tinting that can block out 60% of the sun's rays! Although, I don't know how expensive it would be for three bedrooms. Maybe blinds would be a cheaper option for you?

Hi Jim, you definitely should have a look at the Windows contractors in the Houzz Singapore professional directory, and contact them directly: https://www.houzz.com.sg/professionals/windows/c/singapore I'm pretty sure many of them will be able to do black frames, as it's a popular style recently.

We have used clear cedar frames and stainless steel trim head screws to fasten the frames, they are less obvious than any storm clips, and are small enough to almost disappear. Good luck with your project!
