How to cat-proof your apartment?
Comments (1)The only way to truly cat proof a house is to not have a cat / kitten, so you need to get rid of some of your anxiety and be prepared to have a bit of damage e.g. they may claw your couches etc. Easiest tip is to never have net curtains as they will be the first to go. Some cats will also use bean bags as toilets because they make the same type of noise and feeling of kitty litter so be prepared for that. I think you should consider getting an older cat. One from a rescue centre. Set it up with a lovely bed in the sun, allow it to see outside, have one if not two kitty litter boxes in the house and keep them clean....See MoreHow to position my round table?
Comments (8)Hi 4eva zx, It's not optimum if you don't want to build a bespoke TV wall/console where I've placed the TV here (suggest that you get something where you can swivel the TV towards the sofa, or slightly extend that wall so the TV can be directly in front of the sofa), but in terms of spatial efficiency, your round table would be better placed like so: This is so that it's near the kitchen and you can use it for meals for more than two people. This placement will also allow you to make this family heirloom a visual focal point and conversation piece for your home. If you ever need to use a bigger table for gatherings with more people, you can simply put a rectangular top onto the round table and seat 6-8 people – the placement provides for space that allows this. Find a good ID or decorator who will work towards incorporating this family heirloom in your new home, and you'll be able to enjoy it for years to come. Hope this helps!...See MoreWood tiled floor or marble tiled floor for my bathroom?
Comments (9)Wood and Marble are both non-porous thus it would cause etching and corrosion. Besides that, marble are high maintenance materials as they require high maintenance. In the long run, wooden looking tiles (made of porcelain or ceramic) would be more practical. You can also consider marble looking quartz. You may check out the D & L series of iQuartz range. Comments (4)Agree with both the other comments :) dark colours can look super glamorous in small spaces; just be sure to include some shine via either mirrors or metallic surfaces. :) Good Luck!...See MoreLE
