Comments (10)What do you think of a mirror for the backsplash on the kitchen? You cant see the pic here, but it faces a huge window on the other side of the room. I love the idea of grey/ dark cabinets, (with a wood coloured surface worktop) but might cost a small fortune to rework it. Will check on prices. The wallpaper idea is also really nice - much to mull through. so hard to decide! I'm thinking of replacing the dining table set with a booth + round table seating and maybe add a mirror behind it space. Not sure if i can fit a whole L booth into the dining space and still fit in a table, so might just settle for a booth on one side....See MoreNeed help for Patio idea!
Comments (3)Work with a landscape designer/architect. Likely, some sort of retained, back filled walls will be necessary to create an area large enough to place a table with chairs & umbrella. If you entertain multiple generations, keep your patio to a single level. I would suggest integrating planting areas within the patio area, to introduce color & eventually partial shade. Designing a pergola into this composition would be a nice addition to. Comments (13)Look up Forbo Flooring. I think it comes out of Europe. Its a product with " green " credentials and whilst it is used extensively in hospitals and industrial centres it is extremely strong and hard wearing. I think with other good strong design elements in a room a vinyl floor can easily be pulled off as dynamic and urban. Used a lot in say Denmark and Sweden for example with product longevity in mind & positive if you are also environmentally conscious. I am currently looking at Forbo vinyl to be laid in our sunroom, utility room, pantry and entrance way as it is practical, easy to clean and with a great colour can provide a lot of impact. And whilst it can be hard to walk on & can be viewed sometimes as cold visually I think a rug/rugs can remedy this in the colder months. Vinyl & cork went out of fashion a couple of decades ago and they are now popular again for good reason. I hope this gives you confidence in your current ID :)...See Moreniclips
