Comments (2)Wow lots of windows. That is good and I love the bay window in the room. Floor looks beautiful as well. Is there a solid wall that the bed can go on, like on the wall to the left of the picture? Also I would staple backout to the window with the roman shade and then place a highboy, armoire or large peice of furniture in front that would cover the whole window and no one from the inside will know. You do put a roller blind inside the window pulled down so no one from the outside will know either. This will give you storage and make the room more functional. I would then place a desk in the bay for a great place to sit and write or a comfortable chair with table and lamps to read. Please post pictures of all sides of the room as that would be helpful with suggestions....See MoreRemodel the exterior of this house to a more tropical look
Comments (5)Since you have white and black windows, fans, doors, gates, you need a light tan beige rather than an off white cream - off white will just look dirty next to the white. Something that goes warm neutral instead of yellow will work well. Tropical can mean lots of different things to different people - pick one accent color - a lagoon type green-blue-green with large leafy palms, and add a sail shade (triangle shaped) in the same tone to the upper deck....See MoreConcave area on living and bedroom walls
Comments (1)put the tv and console within the recessed area, and center the furniture there. add an area rug. and curtains that go floor to ceiling over the windows. im not sure what is concerning you there. if you plan to renovate just dry wall over the recessed area....See MoreCool without aircon?
Comments (1)Hi Olivia, There are some tips [here[(https://www.houzz.com.sg/magazine/12-ways-to-keep-cool-at-home-without-air-conditioning-stsetivw-vs~69592701). My own tip: switch the aircon on for a while before you're about to sleep so it feels shiok when you get into bed. Have the aircon on timer so it switches off in about an hour (or however long you may need it), and have the fan on for the rest of the night, circulating the residual cool air. See how this works for you?...See MoreUser
