Kitchen counter help

I am renovating my kitchen and have purchased white cabinetry and initially planned on using Quartz that looks like marble for the countertop. After seeing the Quartz slab I'm concerned that it looks too man made or fake. I love the look of marble but don't want the maintenance. Any suggestions?

What was the name of the vendor of the quartz you looked at? There are some great quartz companies that create natural marble looking surfaces. Try Caesarstone's Calacatta Nuvo, if you are looking for a white stone look. London Gray is a great option that is not stark white.

Cambria is also a great company for quartz.

Torquay is a similar style to a marble.

Praa Sands is a good middle tone marble look.

Braemar is for a darker marble look

Rust will definitely be an issue. You can spray paint or powder coat a clear coat, but spray painted clear coat will wear out over time and you won't be able to tell until it started to rust. Powder coat will also chip unless you are very careful with the surface. Clear powder coat will also be glossy - not a look you will want with blackened steel. No experience with induction hob on metal surface but won't be surprised if the immediate surrounding will be warm.
