Growing portulaca at home

How do you use a baby portulaca to make it grow over area or on rocks? What should I do with little young plant so It grows well? Any tips! New Gardner!

Portulaca like it sunny, hot and dry once they have established...So a baby portulaca (in a 4" pot), needs to be watered daily if planted in a hot, dry climate. (so much of the success of planting tiny plants is to remember that tiny plants have tiny root systems, and they can't completely dry out..) Test your soil often and see how dry it is under the surface. That is the only tip that works for me. These plants are not fussy about their soil conditions.
