Need help for my stairway and small upper floor terrace

Comments (2)Congrats on your new flat. Love the fun and playful kitchen - way to go using color. Gray, white and red can then be used throughout your small space, though in different measure. Perhaps a pale gray painted bedroom - bm moonshine with all white bedding, layer in a charcoal chair and throw, art with red. All white bath, red towels. Living room gray upholstery, multicolored rug with red in it - modern graphic style. Comments (4)The new look is more white with wooden furniture and straight edges. For living room, clear white table and add more modern modern accessories in metal. The pink needs to be replaced with a brown or a mustard yellow cover(to make it stand out but yet within a warm tone). Beige sofa can have 2 cushions on each corner to neaten up. 8 years agoBecause you have an open floor plan, you need rugs to help define and anchor the spaces. I think this rug for your living room will help ground the space, tie in the blue-ish and bring in a little of a dark element from the dining room furniture. 8 years agoYou do need drapes for your room. Be sure to hang the rod half way between the top of the window and the ceiling--they should just touch the floor.
Drapes need to be at least twice as wide as the window....if window is 50" wide then two panels each 50" wide would be minimum. You could go wider if you want to stack the drapes on the outside of the windows when they open.

8 years agoLeelee if I turn the sofa to the left wall there will be no room for the tables and the big window still will not be centered to the sofa and the entrance will be blocked :(

8 years agolast modified: 8 years agoThere is something wrong in the dining area. First no room for the curio cabinet, and it appears you table and chairs barely fit in the space. Is it possible to remove a leaf from the table to make things fit?
Also, you might consider only having an end table on one side of the sofa, not both sides, as it's just too crowded. Maybe move the curved leg accent chair in front of the arched window?

8 years agolast modified: 8 years agoI would bring back the accent chair and move the curio cabinet and I'm assuming that you'll require a media stand and TV that can be placed along side the staircase.
Not sure if you use the dining table daily, but it still looks too large for the area. Is there another leaf be removed and two chairs moved elsewhere?

8 years agolast modified: 8 years agoLocations for art. Before art I would get the drapery panel installation complete so I knew what the room required in terms of additional texture and color.
If you're not going to have a TV in this room, you might want to relocate 2 dining chairs and the wood end table to the wall next to the stair case.

8 years agoI've never figured out if you have TV or not, but here's a suggestion. All of your side/end tables are the wrong size. They should arrive within 1" of arm height for the seating they're with. When you add a lamp the two pieces should reach 58-64" above the floor. In this arrangement, I'd put the focal art piece above the buffet.
