Leather or linen sofa.
Comments (7)UGH im going through the same thing. My household consists of 2 cats (one is a kitten who is hyper 24/7) a husband who plops down on everything, and eats anything he can while sitting on the sofa, a 60 lb german shepherd standard poodle mix that sheds like no other, and a 4 year old who spills, draws, puts make up on anything in sight! We are switching to leather. Its a lot more durable, so much easier to clean, the upkeep on a linen sofa is too much to handle, by the time I get done cleaning it, another stain is made! It also shows wear and tear a little too much. Have you thought about having a custom made cover? that way you can get the leather couch and then if you start to reallllly miss that linen put the cover on! I am personally a fan of pure white couches, and the sectional we are looking at is also a dark brown leather. I will be purchasing the sectional and also having a slip cover custom made so when I am feeling a little like I want a different texture for the furniture I can easily just slip that on....See MoreSingaporean Houzzer? Comments (7)Money plants are super easy to maintain! I've had mine for the past 7 months since moving in to our new flat and it is growing wildly around its 1.5m pole with minimal care. Cacti don't need much attention as well and make for nice decorative plants especially in toilets where you might not get much sunlight. The air plant in your second picture was actually being sold at my neighbourhood pasar malam and I was very close to getting it (apparently it only needs occasional spraying of water) but it wasn't quite my style and I went for a different plant that I'm still trying to figure out the name of. :)...See MoreID recommending vinyl flooring for BTO - Any bad experience?
Comments (13)Look up Forbo Flooring. I think it comes out of Europe. Its a product with " green " credentials and whilst it is used extensively in hospitals and industrial centres it is extremely strong and hard wearing. I think with other good strong design elements in a room a vinyl floor can easily be pulled off as dynamic and urban. Used a lot in say Denmark and Sweden for example with product longevity in mind & positive if you are also environmentally conscious. I am currently looking at Forbo vinyl to be laid in our sunroom, utility room, pantry and entrance way as it is practical, easy to clean and with a great colour can provide a lot of impact. And whilst it can be hard to walk on & can be viewed sometimes as cold visually I think a rug/rugs can remedy this in the colder months. Vinyl & cork went out of fashion a couple of decades ago and they are now popular again for good reason. I hope this gives you confidence in your current ID :)...See Morecloudpants
