What do you mean by timber strips? Wood flooring? If so, that's a big Yes. As for the dining platform, I've seen it done many times, but I'm not a fan. It limits the space--unless you have very high ceilings and an open floor plan. Then it could set a boundary. But it would not be a feature for resale.
Thanks for the reply. I live in an apartment with a ceiling height of 2.6m. I wanted a cosy and country style design. Is it suitable to put wood beams with false ceilings? I also intend to put craft stone as a feature wall in the living room. Any good designs I could refer? Best Regards, Han Seng
